hey, i’m evan eldridge,
the founder and host of The Veritable Veteran.
This platform was born out of something I felt deep in my bones after leaving the military: the world didn’t need another filtered version of veterans—it needed the truth.
Like many veterans, I wrestled with the transition out of uniform. After having served in the United States Marine Corps infantry for 11 years, I battled questions about purpose, identity, faith, and what it really means to live a meaningful life after service. I didn’t find many spaces where those conversations were happening honestly. So I built one.
The Veritable Veteran is about raw, unfiltered storytelling. It’s for veterans who feel like they’re carrying something no one else understands. It’s for those silently struggling with anxiety, depression, disconnection, relationships, and faith. And it’s for anyone who wants to hear the truth-not the sugarcoated version.
